Six wings · one party

More than a party — a family of organisations

Around the Kerala Congress (M) grew six frontal organisations — for youth, students, workers, women, dalits and farmers. Together they make the party a living people's movement, present in every district of Kerala.

Kerala Youth Front (M)

The Kerala Youth Front (M) is the official youth wing of the Kerala Congress (M). The party is a strong political group in the Indian state of Kerala, and today Kerala Congress (M) is part of the Left Democratic Front (LDF), a coalition it has been a part of since October 2019. The Front carries the party's toiling-class ideology to campuses, workplaces and first-time voters across every district committee.

Leadership: The organization's State President is Syriac Chazhikadan. The broader parent party is led by Chairman Jose K. Mani. Core Activities: The group is highly active in student empowerment and welfare. For example, the front organizes the annual K.M. Mani Educational Excellence Awards across Kerala's 14 districts to honor top-performing students.

Political Ideology: The group promotes an official youth ideology titled "Manism". This system of thought was created to address modern society's challenges based on the founding principles of late leader K.M. Mani.

Kerala Students Congress (M)

The Kerala Students Congress (KSC(M)) is the official student wing of the Kerala Congress (M), active in colleges across central Kerala. The group is prominent in student union elections, especially in campuses touched by Central Travancore, and pushes for better hostel, transport and scholarship access while keeping young people connected to the party's toiling-class politics.

The group operates under the leadership of the Kerala Congress (M), currently chaired by Jose K. Mani, and part of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) alliance. As the student front for the party, KSC(M) focuses on student welfare, educational rights and political mobilisation — distinct from the larger Kerala Students Union (KSU), the student wing of the Indian National Congress.

Kerala Trade Union Congress (M)

The Kerala Trade Union Congress (KTUC(M)) is the official labour wing of the Kerala Congress (M), organising plantation, factory and unorganised-sector workers across Central Travancore. Founded alongside the party in the 1960s as the trade-union face of the Adhwana Varga Sidhantham, it is strongest among plantation and rubber-sector workers in Kottayam, Idukki and Pathanamthitta. It is distinct from the rival Kerala Trade Union Congress associated with the P. J. Joseph faction, which uses the same founding name.

Vanitha Congress (M)

The party is currently led by Chairman Jose K. Mani and is a constituent member of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) alliance. The women's wing operates under the broader organizational structure of Kerala Congress (M), which was founded in 1979 and split from the original Kerala Congress.

During the lead-up to the 2026 Kerala Assembly Elections, women's representation was a significant topic across every political party in the state. While the Indian National Congress and BJP saw protests over the denial of tickets to women leaders, Kerala Congress (M) continued to field its candidates under the LDF banner. The party's women's wing plays a crucial role in mobilising support within the LDF framework, though the party did not secure an Assembly seat in the most recent election cycle.

The party remains a constituent member of the Left Democratic Front (LDF), having rejoined the front in October 2020 after four decades with the United Democratic Front (UDF) since 1979. As of mid-2026, Kerala Congress (M) holds one seat in the Rajya Sabha but no seats in the Kerala Legislative Assembly following the 2026 Assembly elections. The party's other frontal organisations — Kerala Students Congress (M), Kerala Youth Front (M) and Kerala Trade Union Congress (M) — continue to organise at the grassroots regardless.

Dalit Front (M)

Dalit Front (M) is a feeder organization of the Kerala Congress (M), a regional political party in Kerala, India. The group focuses on advocating for the rights and welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Dalits) in the state.

Recent developments include a call by Kerala Congress (M) chairman José K. Mani for the establishment of a Social Research Institute named after social reformer Ayyankali. This proposed institute is intended to focus on policy formulation, evaluate government fund allocations, and develop initiatives to ensure housing, education, and employment opportunities for Dalit communities. The call was made during the inauguration of the State Delegates Conference of Dalit Front (M) in August 2025.

Karshaka Union (M)

Karshaka Union (M) is the farmers' frontal organisation of the Kerala Congress (M), rooted in the party's toiling-class politics and the concerns of Kerala's agrarian communities.

The wing organises among rubber, spice and smallholder farmers across Central Travancore, advocating fair prices, debt relief and stronger cooperative support for cultivators.
